Origins
Alta Real Estate was founded on a straightforward investment discipline: source high-quality multifamily opportunities and acquire them at a basis that prioritizes downside protection and preserves investor capital. The firm focuses on Texas and the Mountain West—markets where pricing dislocations, local operating expertise, and disciplined underwriting can create compelling risk-adjusted returns.
Principles
- Dislocation discipline. We buy when the market misprices multifamily — capital-structure stress, motivated sellers, broken processes — and only when the basis sits below replacement cost.
- In-house operations. Brighton Residential is our owned management platform. Where in-house operations add value, the platform sits on the same P&L as the equity — not behind a third-party fee schedule.
- Geographic conviction. We invest only where we have on-the-ground operational presence — Texas and the Mountain West.
